Pre-hire surveys are the standard rig inspections. We perform such scope for the follwing types of rigs:

Pre-hire surveys can be performed for the following rig conditions:

• Rig operating for another client (no interference with operations)
• Cold stacked rigs (limited scope)
• Warm stacked rigs (better output)
• Before restarting after major incident
• Rig inspection as Incident Corrective Action
• Rig ongoing major maintenance (drydocks or refurbishment)
• After rig major modification/upgrade

Pre-hire surveys are also adapted to the following project steps:

• Check of rig conditions to include it into tender process
• Short list of rigs after tender initial offers
• Inspection of short listed rigs for final selection
• Inspection of selected rig before rig move to location
• Supervision of rig repairs before moving to location

Our inspection team will follow our specific standard inspection procedure, mainly based on the following:

• Review of rig certificates & major maintenance records
• Visual inspection of major equipment, including internal inspections
• If possible, functional Tests of all rig equipment and check their intrinsec safety features
• Well Control: internal inspection and check of certificates

We also provide specific Rig Capacity Verification: a full study to confirm rig actual available power and capacities to perform a specific type of wells, especially when high power consumption is expected.
